Well, brick is always over another structure, you can't build a house out of
brick. My grandparents house, which is over 100 years old, is brick, but
there's 12" cinderblock actually forming the structure. Red brick is really,
always cosmetic, whether it be 1" brick face or full brick. All brick houses
are either cinderblock or wood frame.
