Yahoo's new "improved" groups

We've been screaming for a week now to get an option for classic or
new on this new look, but yahoo is bound and determined to be just like
Facebook. The worst part is that archives will be largely unsearchable
as they won't be numbered. People have been threatening to take groups
elsewhere and write to advertisers in protest. Yahoo doesn't care. They
think everyone wants a facebook interaction. If you can, check the yahoo
blog here

It doesn't look good for yahoo groups.

group yet, thank goodness, but it's coming!) It may not affect those of
you who post from e-mail, but the "improvements" are making it nearly
impossible to post from the site, determine which posts I've already
read, or find the post I'm looking for by scrolling through recent
posts. (The Search feature doesn't work, either.) I've tried changing
from "fully featured" to "traditional," but that only works for e-mail.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem, short of dropping out of the
affected groups or (shudder!) posting from e-mail?
