While it has not been a mild winter here in Cincinnati, it hasn't been
overly cold either. We've only dropped below zero twice and for the most part
we have been in the teens and twenties. That's not bad for Cincinnati; our
winters are often brutally cold. We have had snow on the ground non-stop
since early December, and we got hit by the ice storm a few days ago. The
snow here doesn't come close to comparing with Chicago or the northeast coast.
The most we have gotten is 6 inches at a time. But it has been around
forever and I'm sick of it. I walk to and from work and I have a 75 lb. dog I
walk six times a day. I feel pretty lucky because I have only fallen once. I
consider myself a winter person. I like cold weather and tolerate it well.
But although I am in no way ready for spring, I sure am ready to put this
winter behind me. And there's snow in the forecast for tomorrow ... sigh.

How is everyone doing during this unusually cold winter? Even in Tucson,
we were down to 17 degrees F. (-8 C.) this morning, but we'll be up to 50
(10 C.) by this afternoon. Hope nobody's car is stuck on Lakeshore Drive in
Chicago!
Carol, wondering whatever happened to global warming
