They're a rather motley lot... There seems to be a goodie and a baddie, for example
we have Dumbledore and Voldemort and also Aslan and the White Witch from LWW 
but I don't know the Discworld books as to whether that is also true there....

...but, in terms of fantasy fiction, what the heck happened to LOTR?
