Will take a look at these, but when you said Hornblowers, I remembered that of course I have read Forrester. I managed one book and abandoned him, so very boring I found his writing to be and I did love the story mind you, I read the book because I enjoyed the movies at all, so I guess I disagree about him being remembered for a long time.
