I was typing it in from memory, and couldn't quite remember exactly how Jo wrote it." However...back in my good old college days, I was taught that it could be either "it's" or "its". But I guess it is just ingrained in me from my grammar school days, where we were taught that an apostrophe s should be used when signifying ownership. Hence my "it's" when referring to "it's brain". Some habits are just tough to break.
