<p>By the way, I am a pureblood Southerner--sixth-generation Texan, qualifying
for Daughters of the Republic, on one side, old Southern plantation on
the other--and I HATE grits with a passion. They are not food. They taste
like nothing. Add butter and sugar and they taste like butter and sugar.
