My father loved iced coffee, and spent his life explaining to confused

waitpeople what it was. He often never could make them understand, and

had to order a cup of coffee and a cup of ice and make his own. I never

did quite get why the concept was so hard for people (until I was waiting

tables in college on an hour's sleep...).
