<BR>Also, when i'm doing Home ceonomics at school and we do cooking, our teacher 

<BR>has refused point blank to use matric so we learn everyhting in imperial.

<BR>To some extents I agree with her...I you're making a sponge cake it's easier 

<BR>to remeber 4oz sugar, flour and fat and two eggs that whatever the equivilent 

<BR>in grams and Kg is. Science is the only place I use Kg and g...and KM to 

<BR>think about it. seriously, you can visualise a mile with ease...you know 

<BR>exactly how long it would take to walk, drive cycle one mile. but who can do 

<BR>the same with Kilomatres?

<BR>the only use i see for the Metric system is it make equations easier in
