<Rrrrr> *Coat of arms.* A crest is what appears on top of the helmet
which tops the shield. </Rrrrrr>

Sable, a horned toad Or, on a chief gules three bluebonnets proper.
The only problem is your bluebonnets are very close to color-on-color,
making for poor visibility. You also can't put a gules chief on a sable
field, same reason. How about
Sable, a horned toad and on a chief Or, three bluebonnets proper.
You almost have to make the bluebonnets proper, because without those
little white dots they won't look like bluebonnets.
My bid for the arms of the San Jacinto School. I promise I'll find that
old message thread tomorrow, really.

Top 1/3, actually, especially if you have charges on it that are
oriented vertically like bluebonnets. And you can call them bluebonnets,
but it's appropriate to give the Latin nomenclature as well for that
variety, because lupine-type flowers come in a couple other shapes
(including a really long, weird-looking one we saw at the Grand Canyon).

Default position for lizardy things is on their belly--like you'd see
one in the road. When you say standing it sounds like they're up
somehow, not in the natural position. The term of blazon for this
escapes me at the minute. I can look it up later if you want.

Surely you meant the bluebonnets in a row on the chief? I'll sketch out
a couple thoughts tomorrow and scan them in.

Oh, why? How about a pall between three bluebonnets, overall a horned
toad? Something cool like that? Ordinaries are fun.

You're on. Wish I had more time.
