Agree and Welcome!
Professor Phlash: I teach 5th grade and am known all over town as
the "Harry Potter teacher." I even have a sign outside my classroom
door that says "5th grade Muggle Studies." This reputation has at
times been both a blessing and a curse for me. While most people
think it is clever that I am "something of an expert" on the subject,
there is the occasional critic who thinks I am corrupting the youth
of the community.
I think everyone understands that! I know I get it from certain,
shall we say, more devout members of my (ex)inlaws. (They already
think I'm going to hell because of my love of the movie "Dogma" and
Christopher Moore's book "Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Jesus'
Childhood Friend". They don't seem to understand my firm belief that
the being upstairs also has a sense of humor OR that you can be
irreverent without being blaspemous. But that's getting into sticky
territory and way OT, so I'll stop! Sorry!)

Gah! In my last post, I meant to say that I agree that it could have
been F/G! It does seem like something they would do. However,
aren't they pretty protective about Ginny? I'm not sure that they
would have done something to cause her such public distress.
Private, no problem! I'm not discounting the idea, anyway.
And I don't get where the group of people that insist that Ron and
Hermione don't "like" each other. That's the way I've read it from
the beginning. But, then, I am wrong. Often.
Prof. Phlash: Although I have resisted reading fan fiction except for
an excerpt or chapter now and then, this summer I have become
engrossed in it. Some of it is really bad and some is intriguing. I
am thinking it is time to get away from that and reread the books to
help me get it all out of my mind. Have any of you read any fan fic?
It's been a relatively new thing for me, too. I was making up my own
before I started reading anyone else's. Oooh, and if anyone wants a
link to some very nice Ginny stories (that are OBHWF now that I think
about it), let me know!
Adan, who is very talkative today
