I found a HP themed messenger bag on the Hot Topic website, and put in a 
"wish list" and emailed the link to my husband.

Heh.  And I'll carry my stuff around in it too.  To the gym, to scrapbook 
events, to classes, to the library, etc... 

For those who are looking for not terribly "kid" HP merchandise, check out 
Hot Topic's website.  They have Potter t-shirts, watches, and other stuff.
