I for one would really like to know what wicca is. I've heard about it
and I'm curious to what you believe to be the "power of the universe"
and exactly what you practice. I'm a christian, and I'd like to keep
open minded and informed about other beliefs.

I really don't think that what ever JK Rowling practices should hinder
ourselves from reading and appreciating her work. Unless her life and
her beliefs directly contridict those that she places in the books there
shouldn't be any problem. The beliefs that are expressed in the book are
ones that most people on this earth believe in, the Victory of Good Over
Evil and more importantly, a lesson on the right ways to cope with the
brutality of murder.

That's another thing I wanted to point out. Notice how the books are
centred around Harry trying to understand and reaccept the deaths of
his parents in every book. When new information comes up about it, he
tends to become angry about his own situation, but some how the book
finds a way to help Harry not only cope but learn the importance of
preserving life (rather than becoming that which has made his life so
difficult... the stealing of lives.)I think that this is an important
point, for children who read these books they can see that when tragedy
does happen, it takes many years to "get over it".

any thoughts..?
I'd still like to know what wicca is by the way?
