Hi - just arrived on the scene! I am a 5th grade teacher - my students
LOVE Harry Potter. We began a study of the Fantasy genre in October -
there is not a better Fantasy book out there than Harry Potter! My kids
can't wait till 2 and 3 come out in soft cover so our library will get
them. I sent home a letter encouraging parents to read the book with
thier child - I have recieved nothing but good stuff back. Parents are
so excited that thier child is reading! And since we are studying the
Fantasy genre, no one is concerned about anything being 'from the devil'
- they understand that Rowling just wrote a wonderful Fantasy story for
anyone interested to enjoy!
I would love to hear from other teachers or parents about your response
to the book.
