I LOVE HARRY POTTER! Ok, now that I've got that off my chest, Hi! I
just starting reading the books about a week ago and am now to the 3rd
one, which I dragged my kids to the mall today to buy. These are the
freshest most charming books I've read in years. I'm a 35 year young
stay at home Mom with 2 little boys, 5 and 2, so I really don't have a
lot of free time but I can't seem to put these down. I was so glad to
find more adult admirers of this special series of books. I first heard
of Harry from the Rosie O'Donnell show. She is a huge fan and was one
of the first people to interview JK Rowling, after talking up the books
for weeks. Ms. R is on her show this week again, Thursday I believe.
As I was reading thru all the previous posts I too had the thought that
Robby Coltrane would be perfect as Uncle Vernon ("..a large, beefy man
with very little neck and a lot of mustache.")! And what about John
Malcovich (sp?) as Snape, he certainly was eerie in Dracula. Hmm, he
might be better as Vold..uh..You-Know-Who. Helen Mirren would be good
in any of the roles, she's so great anyway.
I watch a lot of the A&E British murder mysteries and there are so many
wonderful Brit actors that I really hope they do the casting there. I
hate when Americans do Brit accents in films anyway, well other than
Gwynyth, who thinks she's English. LOL
Well, I have a date with Harry and it's awfully late here so I'll let
you all go now (finally, huh!) I hope you don't mind, you'll probably
be hearing my 2cents often. LOL
