do a lot to a lightweight. Boy, I think I'm going to be a little mystified
as to why I posted with this subject and message, but here goes anyway
(if you guys think I'm nuts, just skip this one).

First of all, I'm completely ashamed of myself for not getting the quiz
answers. Hats off to Penny for a great set of questions - I was sitting
in front of the computer for a good 10 minutes this morning (before I
had to teach class) trying to think of the name Firenze. Duh!

Second of all. I'd like to sort of respond to iago - although I should
probably "ignore the trouble-maker". Let's face it. The people who
post to this board are fans. We admit it. We LOVE the books. We get a
little carried away when people slam them. Your reasoning that we can
get hypocritical has some good points - like I said earlier, this board
doesn't restrict members to FANS only. However, it seems to me that
you're only adding fuel to the fire, here. By completely going off the
topic of how we should responsibly deal with someone who doesn't think
that Harry Potter should be reading material in public (or private,
for that matter) schools and starting to simply berate us for being
hypocrites isn't adding anything to your argument. I admit, I was a
little miffed that a mr_beckhorn could just waltz on in here and slam
the books I love so well. I wouldn't have minded some "retribution" on
barbara's part. But! That was only my guts taking over. He (or a real
person like him, whoever he really was) has a perfect right to come in
here and argue his point. About Harry Potter. But not about how we're
not worthy of saying that the HP books shouldn't be banned because we
admitted to wanting this guy kicked out. So just lay off, okay?

Third. About the wine. I swear, two glasses, and I feel... oh, you
don't need to know the details. Just suffice it to say that I shouldn't
be driving.

Okay, now I KNOW people are going to just skip this message.

Jen

Ps. I'm still way embarrased that I couldn't think of Firenze. I mean,
I was sitting there going "Ronan, Bane.... what was the other one's name,
for crying out loud?!?"

Me again, and yes, I'm going to bed now.
