A few weeks ago, several of us went to the Unofficial Harry Potter
Fan Club web site, and used the Sorting Hat to find out what houses we
belong to.

That site also has "Harry's Love Test," where you can plug in two
people's names, (in or out of the HP books) and find out how compatible
they are. It gives a percentage for each "couple," then has a key below
to translate the number back into English.

I had a slow day at work yesterday, and plugged in several likely and
not-so-likely pairs. I just thought some of you might get a kick out of
some of the results.

Here are how the most popular potential couples did:

Harry Potter + Hermione Granger = 66% (puppy love)
Ron Weasley + Hermione Granger = 86.5% (true love)
Harry Potter + Ginny Weasley = 77.5% (love is in the air)
Harry Potter + Cho Chang = 39.5% (just friends)

Here are some pairs who scored in the 90s, meaning "red hot romance":

Percy Weasley & Penelope Clearwater (94%)
George Weasley & Hermione Granger (95%)

and the top scorers (believe it or not):
Draco Malfoy & Ginny Weasley (97.5%)

finally (this should surprise no one):
Gilderoy Lockhart + Gilderoy Lockhart = 93%
Gilderoy Lockhart + The Daily Prophet = 93%

And, if Hermione and Ginny dump Ron and Harry for their "red hot
romances", Harry and Ron should travel to San Francisco when they grow
up. The can find the same with two of the Charmed Ones:

Harry Potter + Phoebe Haliwell = 96.5%
Ron Weasley + Prue Haliwell = 98%

If any of you would like to plug in some pairs I haven't mentioned, go to

www.geocities.com/harrypotterfans/lovetest.html

Let me know what you come up with.

Melanie
