I was just wondering...
has anyone come up with a potential answer as to why Harry must return
to the Durseley's every year?? I know that it is suppose to be revealed
in future books but I'm curious as to what you all think.

I never quite understood why they didn't just take him in at school to
begin with. Although Jk does make a point of mentioning that this way
Harry didn't get big headed about what he did. But after being accepted
to Hogwarts and finding out that yes, Lord Voldemort is alive and is
somewhere out there, why didn't they take him in instead of leaving him
with Muggles....

My big question is: are the Durseley's the safest place for harry to
live?? Now that they know that Voldemort's out there, probably plotting
revenge, would keeping Harry with Muggles be the best protection for
him during the summer..??
