Okay, this has been irritating me for a while. I'm pretty sure
that "Crookshanks" comes from "Cruickshanks", who/which has some
basis in Scots. I can't, however, for the life of me, figure out
who/what/when/where/why it is. Does anyone know what I'm trying to
remember here?
