I have a large web space (15mb), provided with my uni e-mail, which is
nearly all free space. I would be happy to host anything in this line
that the group wants online.

the messages does seem the most practical."

The thing that came to my mind was to divide the messages into blocks,
say 100 in each, and create a file with each of these in. A web page /
text file would be much easier to search than the current system. Then
ontop of this creating some sort of contents system for important /
much asked threads.

I am not sure how much work this would involve to set up and maintain. I
can look into the possibilities if people want.
