I can see the evidence for Sirius knowing, but what evidence is there
for Lucius knowing?>>

We know from Draco's conversation on the train that Karkaroff and
Mr. Malfoy are still friends, indicating that they are still on the same
side, and that Mr. Malfoy can understand why his friend betrayed others
to get out of jail.
