Hi --
Joywitch, that's one of the ironies of Treacle Pudding. It has no
treacle! <g> Treacle is molasses, yes. And, when I made it the first
time, I used it instead of the Golden Syrup that was listed in the
recipe. It was okay as far as I was concerned, but my husband pronounced
it "icky." I tried the Golden Syrup the next time around, and we had
a winner. I later learned in the UK that in fact most treacle pudding
recipes do not use treacle.
