I agree, I think he's so sure that he's the biggest and baddest guy around
that it's pretty much inconceivable to him that anyone, let alone Harry,
would be able to resist any of his curses. Someday he's going to be too
cocky for his own good and someone (Harry) will take him down a notch
or two (or 4 or 6).
