And "white" has the connotation "pure" in Latin. I think the reason that
"Albus" sounds like "Albion" (a poetic name for the island of Britain)
is that "Albion" is derived from "albus" and refers to the "white cliffs
of Dover".

Pomfrey sounds like "comfrey", an herb used in herbal medicine.
