Subject: More Thoughts: The Mechanics of Magic

There seem to be three subjects that have to do with the actual machanics
of magic: Charms, Transfiguration and Potions. Is transfig. a specialized
sub-category of charms or is there a basic distinction between the
two? And where do curses, hexes and jinxes fit in? Are they all just
terms for nasty charms or are they an entirely different sort of magic?
