<<<There are so many great works of literature that take on an entirely
different twist as you age & mature. >>>
Many books (and other things) seem to take on more meaning as you grow
older, as Penny, Danemead and others have noted, but there are also some
books which seem to have LESS meaning as you grow older. There is some
stuff that seemed remarkably profound to me in my teens and 20s which,
upon rereading in my 30s and (yes, I admit it) 40s seem very trite
and uninteresing. Authors such as Kurt Vonnegut, Herman Hesse, and Ray
Bradbury come to mind here - they just dont do it for me anymore. Way
off-topic, I know, but did that stop me?????
