What I meant was that it would have been so much easier for Wormie to
draw blood by causing more injury to Harry than a mere cut. He seemed
to have done only the minimum to get what V wanted. It was as if he was
careful not to hurt him too much, which brings me back to the point of
Wormtail feeling indebted to Harry.

Remember, Voldemort wanted to prove to the other Death Eaters that Harry
was no longer a threat to him. No doubt Voldy instructed Pettigrew to
draw blood, but not seriously injure Harry while doing so because he
(Voldy) wanted Harry conscious and able to duel. After all, he (Voldy)
did untie Harry and give him his wand so they could duel "properly,"
and if Harry had been seriously injured due to Wormtail's ministrations,
Voldemort's (expected) victory over Harry wouldn't have seemed quite so
triumphant or impressive to the Death Eaters.
