You're right. The Slytherins can be counted on the spread stories,
they've always done it before; but Draco wasn't hiding anything,
he was bragging about it. He might do something different in public,
though. OTOH, Snape is influential with the Slytherins, and he knows
the truth. Will he step in, not for Harry's sake, but to convince the
student body Voldemort is back? Will he be around to do it?
