I thought about the same thing -- what would I do if, in two years, my
9 year old daughter got a Hogwarts letter? I'd toss it or call the cops
or something. There might be liaison officers, but maybe even better,
volunteer parents of established Hogwarts students.

The only magic Dumbledore would sanction would be some sort of a
demonstration to prove to the doubters this was real.
