I agree with VoiceLady -- the casting should be for a less sophisticated
actor. Certainly we could do worse than Osmont, but I'd rather see them
cast: a British kid (preferably unknown), who has black hair, green eyes
and otherwise meets the physical description and meets the less obvious
description (i.e. a little awkward and sensitive as Voicelady said).

They wouldn't have to try so hard to match the physical attributes of
all the other characters, but they should *really* try hard to get a
great Harry cast for the main role. Although, it'd sure be nice if Ron,
Herminone, Hagrid and Dumbledore looked something like they are described
in the books.

Perhaps I've missed it and I just need to re-read, but do we ever see
Harry *giving* presents to others?? We see him receiving Christmas and
birthday gifts from Hermione and Ron (and Hagrid of course) over the
years, but I don't recall Harry giving any gifts. Strange question,
but I thought it might spark some discussion of the finer points. :--)

Rowling has apparently said that someone will turn on Harry in the later
books. Does anyone else wonder if it *could* be Ron?? Ron has always
been so envious of material things that others have, and I can't help
but wonder if he might be seduced by money or material items to betray
Harry at some point. I think it would be unwittingly as I can't imagine
how the plot could develop over the next 3-4 books such that it would
be believable that Ron would knowingly betray his best friend (I guess
I'm saying I don't forsee any big changes to their friendship).

The other logical guess for someone who might betray him (in my mind)
is Neville. Harry has always been so kind to him, but he seems like he
might have the capacity to be a turncoat.

Well, just trying to get some discussion going . ...
