SuperStands (which are fairly new to Houston and I don't know where
the chain began or how national it is) sell nothing but magazines &
journals. I figured it was the only place likely to have Time Out NY in
Houston, and they do have it -- but it runs about a week behind release
in NY.
Didn't we decide based on internal evidence that Harry would have been
born 31 July 1980? The 500-yr death day party for Nearly Headless Nick
(who died 1492 we're told) must have been in 1992, and that was Harry's
second year at Hogwarts. He had turned 12 that previous July, right? Out
of curiosity (I really must have too much time on my hands), I checked a
perpetual calendar and it seems Rowling was one weekday off in Sorcerer's
Stone. Harry's 11th birthday when he finds out he's a wizard -- 31 July
1991 -- was a Wed, not a Tuesday.
Trivial fact for the day!
