First of all, Happy Y2K, everyone!!!

Well, I just joined the club. I haven't finished reading the first book. I
just started reading it today, as a matter of fact. I read eight chapters
in one day. I couldn't put it down. It's so good. I can see why American
kids are reading again because of this. I can't wait for the movie. Oh
yeah, I agree that Steven Spielberg is the perfect director for the film
(being a Spielberg fan, I gotta admit I'm kinda biased) but I also think
Tim Burton ("Sleepy Hollow", "Batman") will also do justice to the book.

I know that they are planning to search for British actors for the three
lead kids but I think they need not look further for their Harry Potter
because Haley Joel Osment (the kid from "The Sixth Sense"), in my opinion,
will make a great Harry Potter. (P.S. I heard from reliable sources that
he is, in fact, interested in the role and they're doing the necessary
negotiations already but nothing's final).

One last thing: Kristin Scott Thomas or Miranda Richardson as Professor
McGonagall? What do you guys think?
