Iago and Mystril's point is well taken and I did over simplify what
I said.

I was referring to the Mundanes and Muggles who don't like any imaginative
fiction. I understand folks whose fantasies deal with the Old West or
Tarzan or outer space or whatever and that's fine. There are things I
like better than Harry Potter. The folks I don't understand are the ones
who don't enjoy fantasies at all. And we all know some of them. I just
don't understand how they got that way.

I have never run into a child who didn't enjoy some type of fantasy
play or fiction. But we all know a good number of adults who don't read,
who don't go to movies or plays, who don't watch television shows that
aren't heavily steeped in reality. Somehow when those people grew up,
they lost their "sense of wonder." Those are the folks I meant when I
said they'd had the imagination crushed out of them. I don't care if
they don't like Harry but their plight saddens me.

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe the Muggles are the ones who matured and we're
the ones who never grew up. However, given my choice between the Dursleys
and Harry Potter, then I'll vote with Peter Pan.
