Hi:

<<<Here's a question. The affadavit (sp?) that the bookstores all had to
sign said specifically that if they broke the rules by selling it even
an hour earlier than 12:01 on the eighth, they would NEVER get another
shipment of Harry Potter books. Never. Meaning no book 5, no book 6,
and no book 7, not to mention no more book 4s. So has anyone heard about
this bookstore's punishment? Are they really going to be cut off from
future HPs?>>>

I think Scholastic will have to carry through on this threat. They
won't really lose money - the HP books will still sell. They just won't
be distributed/sold by that particular bookstore. I haven't heard yet
which bookstore it was -- that ought to be interesting. I'd bet it was
not a major chain store. If it was a chain store, I imagine they'll just
penalize that one particular branch (not all of B&N for example). But,
it won't have been a chain I don't imagine. Those managers would be way
too hypersensitive to the issues involved.

I'm starting to have another theory about this whole thing -- see my
next posting.

Penny
