Well, as I was saying....
I went to Borders, Charing Cross Road, to check out the copy of "Goblet
of Fire" supposedly on display in the window, and all they had was
this large book, covered in sparkly wrapping paper, with a copy of the
dust-jacket glued onto the front somewhat amateurishly. Surrounding this
was a motley selection of the first three books in various formats. How
inventive (not).
I was disappointed. It was raining, and I'd wanted to press my nose
against the window pane and stare at it longingly.
I would have looked silly though.
I feel that I should wish y'all a happy 4th of July, even though it's
nothing to do with me. Surely even bookstore employees have reason to
celebrate today...
