The following is from the letter Sirius sends Harry at the end of
the book:

"Crookshanks took the order to the Owl Office for me. I used your name
but told them to take the gold from Gringotts vault seven hundred and
eleven - my own. Please consider it as thirteen birthdays' worth of
presents from you godfather."

*puzzled look* That's odd...the American version is different. Here's
what it says in my copy of PoA:

"Crookshanks took the order to the Owl Office for me. I used your name
but told them to talke the gold from my own Gringotts vault. Please
consider it as thirteen birthdays' worth of presents from your godfather."

Why would that be different, I wonder? Did the editors who "Americanized"
the books think that we ignorant Americans didn't know what seven hundred
and eleven was? *shrug* How odd...
