I also receive posts by email, but can't post anything myself until I
get into my computer at work, so I have a story I'd love to tell.
Originally I'd been planning on hopping on a train and going to visit my
family in Pennsylvania this past weekend as a surprise. As I was packing
my bag, I froze - and realized that I couldn't possibly go anywhere! My
precious book was being delivered on Saturday!
I woke up, bright and early in anticipation, and sure enough, after I'd
finished with my shower and breakfast @ 9:00ish, the doorbell rang. I
had ordered from barnesandnoble.com, and had requested regular postal
service delivery. And there was the nicest postal worker you've ever seen
(and that's an entirely different conversation!) I thanked her profusely
and mentioned that it wasn't necessary for her to ring my bell and hand
deliver it, but she explained that she had seen some kids nosing aroung
previous deliveries, and that she was now taking the time to hand deliver
it to every single person. Then, laughing, she invited me to take a peek
at the back of her truck. We went back down my stoop where she opened
the doors, and there were hundreds of books in their USPS wrappers with
their bright yellow stickers marked MUST BE DELIVERED ON JULY 8TH. That
was ALL she was delivering that day. She mentioned that it was the first
time in her postal career that everyone loved her!
And yes, I also finished it in one sitting. Not because I wanted to
devour it, but rather because I just couldn't put it down. I'm glad I
ate breakfast, because I became so engrossed that I totally forgot to
stop and eat anything else for the rest of the day. That's what I call
good book! And I agree that this is the best so far.

So now we all know the meaning behind the cover! And I have to admit
that it's growing on me.
It seems that Ms. Rowling is breaking with convention by opening with
something other than Harry with the Dursley's. I knew right away that
this book was definitely going to be darker. How creepy was that?!?
And in response to a post over the weekend (sorry, can't remember
right now who wrote it) Moody wasn't a death eater...the FAKE Moody
was, however.
