if a father commits a crime is it right to punish the son?
ok, we had this exact discussion during our lunch break and this is what
we came up with:
Lucius did the crime but dumbledore can't do anything to him esp. now
he and fudge have gone separate ways.
Malfoy maybe a little prick (pardon language) but he has not done anything
wrong (legally speaking). he may be suspected because of his attitude and
because of his father but he cannot be punished without proof. D. may not
want them at Hogwarts but he cannot chuck them out for no proven reason.
maybe V. wants draco et al. at Hogwarts so that they can act as spies
for him?
just my opinion.
