"I picture a guy in tie die T-shirts and Birkenstock sandals."
Ugh, no! Much more biker boots and waistcoats (vests) - a well-dressed
biker-cum-roustabout. But if Bill is say, 21, dressing like that is
probably just a phase. Once he has his eye on that senior position,
he'll cut the hair and lose the earring.
"Who else thinks Bill will play a role in the fight against V. in future
books..."
Hmmm - not sure about this. The Weasleys are truly Harry's surrogate
family now, so Bill would be like the big brother he never had if he
sticks around long enough. The problem with minor characters like Bill
Weasley is that they have "please kill me" stamped on their foreheads,
so perhaps being killed by V in an heroic struggle is his destiny.
Sorry, I'm veering off into the Weasleys now... tut, tut. I just cannot
understand the old fashioned magic that Dumbledore wove that obliges
Harry to stay with the Dursleys every summer. Couldn't he just cast a
similar spell over The Burrow and let him stay with his Wheezy?
