<< This is again assuming that it Lucius. I can remember no reason to
assume that the Death Eaters were male. It could have been Narcissa.>>
"At least one of the death eaters - Mrs Lestrange - was a woman, but I
got the distinct impression that all the people in the graveyard scene
were men. At least Mr Malfoy, Mr Crabbe and Mr Goyle were there, and
the text refers to "wizards", rather than "witches and wizards" (okay,
wizardkind, perhaps!)
But, thinking about it, it's likely that some other women were there. I
mean, what would Narcissa do - stay at home and iron Lucius' death
eater robes?"
This is basically my point. When I first read the chapter I assumed
all the Death Eaters, bar the one Neil says above, to be male. Then I
thought about this and could think of no justification. As only a few of
the people are named I guess that it is likely that some are female. I
could not see many standing by and letting their other halfs go off and
support Voldemort unless they thought the same about him.
