I somehow doubt that Lily and James Potter were in Slytherin, and I think
that they most likely were in Griffyndor. I think, though, that Snape
was in Slytherin while he was there. I wonder if Lily, James, Sirius,
Peter Wormtail and Lupin had the sort of friendship and relationship
in Griffyndor as do Hermione, Harry, Ron and Neville. I remember that
when Lupin and Sirius spoke of Peter in Harry Potter and the Prisoner
of Azkaban I was reminded of Neville. A great part of Voldemort's power
lied on Peter's betrayal of his friends, and I wonder if Neville will
have a role in the future which will hinge around him and yet... I feel
Neville would make a different choice than Peter.

Isn't speculating fun?

In any case, I'm also interested in Snape's story. Oddly enough, despite
his hatred and ill-treatment of Potter, I trust Snape.

As for Dumbledore, I trust him completely. That spark of triumuph
in his eyes - my guess is that he knows something about Lily Potter's
protection and how Harry's blood will affect Voldemort that even Voldemort
doesn't. The idea that Dumbledore is actually a Death Eater doesn't make
any sense, unfortunately.

I love how the characters have aged in the books - we see it but we aren't
beaten over the head with it. From the time Harry defied his Uncle, you
could tell he was in his teens and no longer a child, and that subtly grew
for all the characters throughout the books. Harry's crush on Cho Chang,
for example. :: laugh :: And what will Miss Granger do with Krum and Ron
both vying for her attention? I look forward to the eventual blossoming
of romance between Ron and Hermione, but I wonder who the real girl for
Harry is. I don't think it's Cho, and I don't think it's Ginny either.

:: sigh :: So much more to look forward to. I guess we'll just have to
keep guessing until the series is over. Personally, I want bodyguards
on Rowlings to ensure /nothing/ happens to her before this series is over!
