We joined up some weeks ago, but have been lurking so far. This group

Just finished book 4 yesterday *WHEW*. (Still waiting on George) I was
absolutely taken aback by the news about Neville's parents, I would
love to see him take on a Death Eater or two later and come out on
top (a sudden, unexpected burst of great magic from him), he deserves
it. Or, maybe he'll get to punch Malfoy. I really hope he blooms later
in the series.
Also, I am soooooo glad that Hermione explained WHY there's no
electricity, etc. in the Wizarding world -- "Because there's too much
magic in the air" -- I had to wonder. Also it makes those of us who
have a constantly breaking down car, computer, photocopy machine, watch
(I could go on) feel better.
But, here's my big comment -- what is going on with the slight look
of triumph in Dumbledore's eyes when Harry explains that his mother's
counter charm has been broken? (pg. 696 US edition) I am so worried that
Dumbledore is going to turn out to be a bad guy. Somebody, anybody,
tell me it ain't so! Could this mearly be that he is happy that Harry
will be able to defend himself now??
