I don't know how much of the "common knowledge" about Snape we can
believe, given the events detailed in this book. Disinformation is a
very nice (and potentially life-saving) tool for a spy to use! Snape has
become a much more interesting character now that some of these events
have been revealed, and I have to wonder where exactly his character will
go during the rest of the series. I agree with what someone else posted,
he may not be the Death Eater that has "gone to the other side and will
die" but may instead be the one that is "scared and will pay". It is a
bit disturbing to think about just what he will have to do to get back
into good graces with the Big V.

For some reason, I thought Snape was a pretty intriguing character all
the way back in Book 1. The details that emerged about him in Books 2,
3 & 4 makes him even more so. I have a feeling he will play a key role
in the solution to the puzzle during the next 3 books. It sure will be
fun to watch!
