<<<Perhaps a sign of Harry's growing maturity... The Farewell Feast
at the end of the book, where Harry and Snape look at each other,
and Snape looks away, but Harry continues to study Snape for some time
afterwards -- perhaps suddenly seeing him as a three-dimensional PERSON
rather than just a cardbooard villain of a teacher. Although we couldn't
hear Harry's thoughts, I still came away with the impression that Harry
had grown up quite a bit. He's suddenly YEARS older than Ron, thanks to
his ordeals.>>>>
Yes, I think Harry had to grow up in a hurry in this one. And, I like
your observations about potential changes in their relationship (Harry &
Snape). Perhaps they will see one another in an entirely new light. I
like Snape better after GoF, I think mainly because Dumbledore's trust
of him is highlighted so much at the end. I trust Dumbledore, so if
he trusts Snape, well then . . .And, Snape is clearly going off on a
dangerous mission on behalf of the good guys.
