Don't take this the wrong way, but you're thinking like a
Muggle. Obviously these people have magic in their blood (just my
extrapolation from events like Harry turning his teacher's wig blue by
accident) so who knows what can be carried in the blood and how Lily's
mother love will react in the big bad V's veins.
