Even beyond how the holidays are celebrated, notice who the resident
ghost is in Hufflepuff: the Fat Friar. I've always assumed him to be a
Catholic, though for all I know, non-Christian faiths may have Friars. Of
course the Fat Friar may be an exception, rather than the rule.
Has anyone else ever wondered how FF used his magic in the
priesthood? When did he live? I'd always pictured it to be during the
European witch hunts (before the Salem ones). If so, he must've gone
through quite a few conflicts of his own. And can you picture his Spanish
counterpart, right in the middle of the Inquisition?
Well, enough ramblings. Just my 2 knutes.
Melanie (also Christian)
