exceptionally well in school, and go on to a successful career without

I like the Bill character and I hope he shows up in future books, at
least to explain what a cursebreaker *does* for Gringotts.

However, being "cool" is only a different style of conformity. In real
life (tm), watch the cool people mock the nurds, or geeks, or wonks,
or whaterver the losers are called nowdays.

Bill's similarity of fashion to the Muggle world seems to me that
he probably goes to Muggle discoes (or wherever Muggles go to dance
nowdays). How could wizard and Muggles have the same fashions at the
same time if wizards live so separate from Muggles that old Archie
couldn't grasp the idea of trousers, and Molly Weasley, who graduated from
Hogwart's in the 1960s (you know, 1960s, Eng-a-land swings like a pendulum
do) hates Bill's long hair and calls Hermione a 'a scarlet woman'!
