I took a Harry Potter break yesterday (SHOCK!) and reread a little of
Katherine Neville's The Eight (which I highly recommend to any adult
or older teen reading HP books, especially those who like chess)
and I figured out where Beauxbatons HAS to be - the Bas Pyrenees -
they're a mountain range in the south of france/north of spain - the
tiny, autonomous principality of Andorra lies among its peaks, and most
importantly, historically, they've been called THE MAGIC MOUNTAINS.
