It related to the Riddle House, and looking back to Tom Riddle's diary.

To be honest I wasn't sure what they were getting at, except for the fact
that the Chamber of Secrets was reported to have been opened 50 years ago,
and two years later, the Riddle murders are reported as having happened
50 years ago.

If we assume that 50 years in CoS could be the same as 52 years in GoF
(people always talk in round figures don't they?), is the implication
that the Basilisk killed the Riddles?

Er, another thought. Is Nagini related to the Basilisk?
