I agree - I like the kids version. As to the different books - since I
have such a mismatch of books - SS from the USA - hardback, CoS and PoA
from UK - I was "home" visiting my family at the time I really discovered
HP magic - one in Hardback and one in Paperback. My collection does not
look very impressive - BUT but GoF and SS - the two USA editions I own
are the same - except for the thickness of course - especially under
the dustjacket - if you look - although in different colours they are
very similar.
